It was the most beautiful, magical night,
He showed her the whole city but he was all her eyes held in sight,
So close, under the stars,
Sitting on the bridge high above the people and the cars,
It felt so right,
So perfect, what was in the air that night,
Shed never loved like she did just then,
And all she wanted in the world was him,
It was a moment that felt like an eternity,
Bliss on the borderline of reality,
One kiss would be acid melting her heart,
If it ever ended the whole world would be torn apart,
She felt the wind rushing through her hair,
Such a feeling of floating, of falling nowhere,
Love so strong it was sickening,
And she could feel her pulse quickening,
It was an impact like the world collided,
After the moment of the kiss subsided,
When he turned to her, with his striking blue eyes,
And took her completely by surprise,
Never had words been more true,
Than at that moment, when he said I Love You.

our last stand goes:
hallelujah, love lost
i've got an empty wallet and a record cover
the stage, hot and worn, like an aging lover.
