She tells it all when she’s drunk,
Truth coming out with tears,
Showing how low she’s sunk,
Drowning in wasted years,

Wishing on stars long since fallen,
Slipping on her old lies,
She regrets ignoring her calling,
Seeing through unfocused eyes,

She could have been a model,
She should have went to college,
It doesn’t take a therapist to tell,
She’s been thrown off the edge,

Stuck in this town with her time,
Living for the end of the day,
She searches the bottom of her glass,
For some relief from the pain,

Its not living, just existing,
A cage without a door,
And if someone were to listen,
They’d see she can’t take anymore.

Well, this was one of the poems I wanted to post.

I hope no one is disappointed.
