She tells it all when shes drunk,
Truth coming out with tears,
Showing how low shes sunk,
Drowning in wasted years,
Wishing on stars long since fallen,
Slipping on her old lies,
She regrets ignoring her calling,
Seeing through unfocused eyes,
She could have been a model,
She should have went to college,
It doesnt take a therapist to tell,
Shes been thrown off the edge,
Stuck in this town with her time,
Living for the end of the day,
She searches the bottom of her glass,
For some relief from the pain,
Its not living, just existing,
A cage without a door,
And if someone were to listen,
Theyd see she cant take anymore.
